The process of curricular innovation promoted in the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile during this year 2017, has meant an important challenge for the subject of History of Law and social sciences. This brief working document aims to respond to this challenge and demonstrate the need, and therefore the relevance, of historical-juridical studies in the 21st century.El proceso de innovación curricular impulsado en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Chile durante este año 2017, ha implicado un desafío importante para la cátedra de Historia del Derecho y las ciencias sociales. Este breve documento de trabajo pretende responder a dicho desafío y demostrar la necesidad, y por ende la pertinencia, de la formación histórica jurídica en el siglo XXI.
