This paper analyses and justifies an interdisciplinary approach to the authority of judicial precedent in Spain, based on the premise of its multifaceted nature. The interdisciplinary approach guarantees its integral and systemic understanding, which must also account for the situated and embodied nature of judicial knowledge. It is achieved by the articulation of legal studies, provided mainly from theoretical-methodological lines that we have called dogmatic-legal, legal-analytical, historical-legal and genealogical and socio-legal. The work, which implies an epistemological reflection, is based on a documentary research of studies on the legal treatment of the binding value of judicial precedents in Spain and on the organisational and socio-cultural contexts in which they are produced.Este trabajo se dirige a analizar y justificar una aproximación interdisciplinar a la autoridad del precedente judicial en España, partiendo de la premisa de su carácter poliédrico. La aproximación interdisciplinar garantiza su compresión integral y sistémica, que ha de dar cuenta también del carácter situado y encarnado del conocimiento judicial. Esto se consigue con la articulación de estudios jurídicos, aportados principalmente desde líneas teórico-metodológicas que hemos denominado dogmático-jurídicas, jurídico-analíticas, histórico-jurídicas y genealógicas y socio-jurídicas. El trabajo, que implica una reflexión de carácter epistemológico, se basa en una investigación documental de los estudios sobre el tratamiento jurídico del valor vinculante de los precedentes judiciales en España y sobre los contextos organizacionales y socio-culturales en que se producen.
