DescriptionAs in other parts of Europe, the Polish Constitution does not refer directly to the rights of animals, and guaranteeing protection would require a more dynamic interpretation of these provisions of the Magna Carta, which deal with the protection of the environment. The animal protection law of 1997 places Poland among the first countries that regulate this matter. However, the most problematic issue is to apply the Animal Law efficiently. It seems that the guarantee mechanisms for animal rights do not work as they should yet.en-US
DescriptionAl igual que en otras partes de Europa, la Constitución polaca no se refiere directamente a los derechos de los animales, y garantizarles protección requeriría una interpretación más dinámica de estas disposiciones de la Carta Magna, que tratan de la protección del medioambiente. La Ley de protección de los animales de 1997 coloca a Polonia entre los primeros países que regulan esta materia. No obstante, lo más problemático es la aplicación práctica de la ley, ya que todavía parece que los mecanismos de garantía para los derechos animales no funcionan de manera efectiva.es-ES
