The constant increase in the arrival of unaccompanied foreign minors in Melilla, a Spanish and European border located in Africa, has had a significant impact on the complex regulatory framework that protects them. This migratory phenomenon, which is taking root in the Autonomous City of Melilla, a Spanish and EU border, is giving rise to a constant legislative and jurisprudential evolution for the protection of this particularly vulnerable group. Consequently, this research will interrelate the main legislations that are called to be applied and that seek to guarantee the rights of children and adolescents in this border area. In particular, we will refer to the main provisions of the Law on Foreigners and Asylum in relation to the administrative situation of foreign minors without family who arrive in this Spanish city located on the African continent. Given the multidimensional and complex nature of the current regime, we will attempt to specify the content of the best interest of these minors in these particular circumstances.El incremento constante de las llegadas de menores extranjeros no acompañados a territorio melillense, frontera española y europea situada en África, ha tenido una incidencia importante en el complejo marco normativo que los protege. Este fenómeno migratorio que se va cimentando en la Ciudad Autónoma de Melilla, frontera española y de la UE, suscita una constante evolución legislativa y jurisprudencial para la protección de este colectivo especialmente vulnerable. En consecuencia, esta investigación interrelacionará las principales legislaciones que están llamadas a ser aplicadas y que tratan de garantizar los derechos de la infancia y adolescencia en dicha zona fronteriza. Particularmente, haremos alusión a las principales disposiciones del Derecho de extranjería y del asilo en relación con la situación administrativa del menor extranjero sin familia que llegan a esta ciudad española situada en continente africano. Dado el enfoque multidimensional y complejo del régimen vigente, intentaremos precisar el contenido del interés superior de la infancia en estas especiales circunstancias.
