The main objective of this paper is to compare the regulation of conduct specifically affecting women in the laws of two Germanic peoples of the High Middle Ages, the Alamans and the Bavarians. The method employed consisted of analyzing and comparing the Lex Alamanorum and the Lex Baiuvariorum, both from the 8th century, in search of provisions affecting women, in order to compare them. With this comparative analysis we were able to obtain a picture of the legal situation of women in these territories.El objetivo principal de este artículo es comparar la regulación sobre conductas que afectan específicamente a las mujeres en las leyes de dos pueblos germánicos de la Alta Edad Media como son los alamanes y los bávaros. El método empleado ha consistido en analizar y confrontar la Lex Alamanorum y la Lex Baiuvariorum, ambas del s. VIII, en busca de disposiciones que afectaran a las mujeres, para proceder a su comparación. Con este análisis comparativo conseguimos obtener una imagen de la situación jurídica de la mujer en estos territorios.
