The article provides a detailed analysis of the labor regime for artists, highlighting the specific legislation aimed at protecting their rights and benefits in Peru, represented by Decree Law 19479 and Regulatory Supreme Decree No. 010-73-TR. This legislation seeks to adapt the principles of Labor Law to the particularities and demands of the artistic sector. In this regard, the author recognizes the importance of establishing a specific legal treatment for the sector as they are considered special workers with unique needs and characteristics. Along these lines, the article addresses key aspects such as the personal scope of artists, employment contracts, exclusivity, limitations for foreign artists, and the obligations of their employers. These obligations include, among other things, registration with the Artists' Social Rights Fund, drafting written contracts, and registration with the Municipal Council. When presenting the legal framework, the author emphasizes that the law seeks to adapt the principles of Labor Law to the particularities and demands of the artistic sector, to provide them with a specific legal framework that addresses their unique characteristics. This is to ensure the protection of their labor rights and guarantee social security for this sector within a specific regulatory framework.El artículo proporciona un análisis detallado del régimen laboral de los artistas, destacando la legislación específica destinada a proteger sus derechos y beneficios en el Perú, representada por el Decreto Ley 19479 y Decreto Supremo reglamentario N°010-73-TR, que busca adaptar los principios del Derecho Laboral a las particularidades y exigencias del sector artístico. Al respecto, el autor reconoce la importancia de establecer un trato legal específico para el sector al ser considerados como trabajadores especiales con necesidades y características únicas. En esa línea, aborda aspectos clave como el ámbito personal de los artistas, el contrato de trabajo, la exclusividad, la limitación para los artistas extranjeros, las obligaciones de sus empleadores que, entre otras cosas, incluye la inscripción en el Fondo de Derechos Sociales del Artista, la elaboración de contratos por escrito y la inscripción en el Consejo Municipal. Al presentar el marco legal, el autor enfatiza que la ley busca adaptar los principios del Derecho Laboral a las particularidades y las exigencias del sector artístico, para otorgarles un trato legal específico que atienda a sus particularidades, de manera que se otorgue una protección a sus derechos laborales y se garantice la seguridad social de este sector con un marco normativo específico.
