Justice is one of the most developed topics in legal philosophy and has been especially addressed by Greek philosophers. The knowledge they bequeathed to us is still relevant because of its surprising timeliness and the soundness of its reasoning. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to theoretically analyze the concept of justice and explore its practical application. To this end, the most representative Greek philosophy as well as contemporary philosophy on the subject are examined, in order to conceptualize justice and determine the theoretical advances achieved. It is concluded that no significant progress has been made in the definition of justice since the ideas put forward by the Greek philosophers, because of the intrinsic complexity of the subject.La justicia es uno de los temas más desarrollados en la filosofía jurídica y ha sido especialmente abordado por los filósofos griegos. Los conocimientos que nos legaron siguen siendo relevantes debido a su sorprendente actualidad y a la solidez de su razonamiento. Por lo tanto, el objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar teóricamente el concepto de justicia y explorar su aplicación práctica. Para ello, se examina tanto la filosofía griega más representativa como la contemporánea que ha estudiado el tema, con el fin de conceptuar la justicia y determinar los avances teóricos logrados. Se concluye que no se ha progresado significativamente en la definición de justicia desde las ideas planteadas por los filósofos griegos, debido a la complejidad intrínseca del tema.
