The main purpose of this article is to clarify the concept of "aleatory contract" within the framework of the Peruvian legal system, as well as to highlight some of its main legal consequences. To achieve this goal, it will emphasize certain relevant notions, such as the notion of risk and normal alea. The article also analyzes the scattered regulation of the Civil Code related to aleatory contracts.El presente artículo tiene como propósito principal esclarecer el concepto de contrato aleatorio en el marco del sistema legal peruano, así como puntualizar algunas de las principales consecuencias jurídicas de dicha categoría. A tales fines, se hará hincapié en ciertas nociones relevantes, tales como la noción de riesgo y alea normal. Este artículo analiza también la dispersa regulación del Código Civil que alude al contrato aleatorio.
