The Roman entrepreneurship is analysed from the perspective of the relationships among economics, politics, and law. The author describes some basic aspects of these relationships in Roman history, such as the recognised connection between the Punic Wars and exchange activities, the situation of internal Roman politics, and the connection between the development of the trade and its impact on aspects of the legal language and the origination of protection mechanisms, as legal actions. On this last point, the author studies in depth the hypothesis of the origin of actiones adiecticiae qualitatis and, specifically, the actio quod iiussu in the context of the needs of the economic activity in Rome.El emprendimiento romano es analizado desde la perspectiva de las relaciones entre economía, política y derecho. El autor describe algunos aspectos centrales de estas relaciones en la historia romana, tales como las varias veces reconocida vinculación entre las guerras púnicas y las actividades de intercambio, el devenir de la política interna romana y las conexiones entre el desarrollo de la actividad comercial y su impacto en aspectos del lenguaje jurídico y el nacimiento de mecanismos de protección, como las acciones. Sobre este último punto, el autor profundiza la hipótesis del origen de las acciones adyecticias y, en concreto, de la actio quod iussu en el contexto de las necesidades de la actividad económica en Roma.
