In this document the author analyses the development and the current sense of the scope of the law and the regulatory authority according to the Chilean Constitution. In this sense, this document intends to demonstrate that the distribution of regulatory jurisdictions has not changed the primacy of the law in the system of sources of law, and grants to any regulation that comes from the President of the Republic's legal authority, the nature of regulatory.En este trabajo el autor analiza la evolución y el sentido actual del ámbito de la ley y la potestad reglamentaria conforme a lo establecido por la Constitución chilena. En tal sentido, pretende demostrar que el sistema de reparto de competencias normativas no ha alterado la primacía de la ley en el sistema de fuentes, dando el carácter de reglamento de ejecución a toda norma que emana de la potestad reglamentaria del Presidente de la República.
