This article analyses the new developments introduced in the Brussels II ter Regulation on international child abduction. The EU legislator, aware of the complexity and problematism that the application of the Brussels IIa Regulation has entailed in the matter, has tried to improve and refine the response provided in the new 2019 text, both from the structural and substantial point of view. Predictably, resulting in a better protection of the bests interests of the children involved in these proceedings.El presente artículo analiza las novedades introducidas en el Reglamento Bruselas II ter en materia de sustracción internacional de menores. El legislador de la UE, consciente de la complejidad y problematismo que ha acarreado la aplicación del Reglamento Bruselas II bis en la materia, ha intentando mejorar y depurar la respuesta aportada en el nuevo texto de 2019, tanto desde el punto de vista estructural como sustancial. Redundado, previsiblemente, en una mejor del interés superior de los menores involucrados en estos procedimientos.
